Codex Seraphinianus Volume 1, Part 4 : Physics
The fourth chapter of the Codex seems to describe particle physics in great detail - at least to me that's what it seems to be about. Particle physics on Earth is hugely complicated and confusing, so it'll be almost impossible to understand these microscopic workings of an alien land.
The section begins showing some kind of classification of particles, with assortments of strange coloured squiggles detailed and interconnected.
Following that come more diagrams of small coloured spheres in various sizes, and then egg shaped particles, with varing patterns.
The particles shown on the third page are far less regular, and take all kinds of shapes and sizes.
After that the format changes to a layout with three inter related diagrams per page, each with a paragraph of descriptive text to its right.
The first shows three orange particles each with what appears to be a measurement of scale, and some kind of complex mathematical formula.
The second page shows larger structures with flute like openings that seem to either suck in, or emit the particles shown on the previous page.
Following that come diagrams of strange light emitting fibres, followed by three images apparently showing views of these fibres at varying degrees of magnification (as shown here.)
Again the next two pages tie together, the first showing odd elongated rugby ball shaped objects, each split through the equator, with some kind of energy flow emitting from the top half.
The three diagrams on the companion page show these particles rocketing out of three different shaped pieces of what appear to be rock.
Next comes a few diagrams which appear to display the properties of light, followed by a few pages detailing an assortment of scientific experiments.
